Alias Team Leader
Responsibilities:
- According to the requirements of project design, responsible for internal and
external shape and decoration of A surface or CAS surface design; - Responsible for the accuracy of the project design and innovative and put
forward reasonable clear design Suggestions; - Assist the project smoothly, with creative design team and the project team
to communicate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above, major in industrial/automotive design;
- With above 7 years relevant working experience in automotive digital or
industrial design; - Be able to translate faithfully designer’s idea into 3D;
- Strong Alias, Showcase skill;
- Good team player;
- Good English understanding.

Main Responsibilities:
- Digital modeling of 3D surfaces (CAS and Class A) using ALIAS
- Review work instructions from overseas customers and make a relevant work
plan - Feedback issues with work instructions to SINO Engineering management and
support liaison with the customer to ensure full understanding and complete delivery
of the required task - Check the quality of data prior to release to the customer in line with SINO
Engineering data Class A surface checking procedures - Release final data to customer
- Work with team members to complete projects and work assignments on time and
to the highest level of quality
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- Able to construct Class A surfaces within ALIAS
- Experienced in CAS and Class A surfacing modeling across a range of
automotive components and panels (exterior and interior) - Able to construct surfaces using cloud points (scan data) only
- Able to construct surfaces using CAS data
- Able to construct surfaces using rough engineering data
- Able to construct surfaces using the package data
- Able to construct surfaces using the design sketch
- Good communication skills (Mandarin essential and English as a second

Summary
Digital modeller develops Design Digital Shape Models (DSM) for all projects assigned
for China Operations. The development work is done in close cooperation with Design
in Gothenburg.
Reporting Structure
Design Digital Modeller reports directly (solid line) into Studio manager China.
Assignments /tasks
- Create exterior and interior surfaces with the aid of the Design departments
DSM modelling tools. - Time planning of DSM assignments
- Together with Designer and Studio Engineer, take responsibility for the
inclusion of the correct start parameters in the proposal. - Take part in or run VU (Group Activity development)
- Deliver DSM models within the agreed time frame and to safeguard the quality
of the proposal.
Qualifications and experience:
We would like you to have:
- University Degree or equivalent experience
- Very good skills in Alias at least 5 years’ experience
- Basic skills in CATIA V5 and Tce
- Very good skills in surfacing methods and techniques.
- Skills in visualization of DSM for design reviews.
- Documented experience Class-A Surfacing
